Braised Frogs In Brown Sauce


Dh made this dish for NPD dinner. It's called <红烧田鸡> on chinese! He bought about 1kg of live bullfrogs aka 《田鸡》 from a Choa Chu Kang farm, called Khai Seng! The live bullfrogs were killed & intestines removed by the staff of the farm. Enclosed XXXX - SCARY!!!

Back home, dh washed & chopped up the "processed" bullfrogs, then stir-fry them with ginger. He added some wine at the end & removed them out to "double-boil" in a big pot. Wah, the sauce smell & tasted very nice & thick!!! Too bad is, this time the bullfrogs are smaller size as we went too late (dh's last minute idea to cook this dish), normally he will wake up early on a sunday morning to buy these big big fresh live bullfrogs & prawns!
